1. Operator and requests

2. Information collected
Depending on the features used, we process contact and profile information, address and location, sign-in information, listings and photos, bookings, payment and billing references, messages, reviews and support requests. Technical and security logs may include your IP address and browser information. Some information is optional; required fields are identified in forms.
3. Purposes and consent
This information is used to manage accounts, publish listings, connect users, process bookings and subscriptions, respond to requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Uses requiring your consent are presented separately. You may withdraw consent for future use, subject to legal restrictions; some features may then become unavailable.The newsletter requires separate consent and email address confirmation. We retain the address, language and dated evidence of the request, confirmation and withdrawal. Every newsletter email offers an unsubscribe link without requiring an account. A previous sign-up without consent evidence is not treated as active.
4. Identity and payments
LOCAM verification may collect front and back images of an identity document and a selfie, reviewed by personnel authorized to handle the request. Stripe’s verification of owners is separate and is also covered by Stripe’s disclosures. Card details are entered in the Stripe payment flow; LOCAM retains payment references and statuses without storing the full card number.
5. Visibility and recipients
Information posted in listings and public profiles is visible as presented on the website. Messages and contact details needed for a transaction are shared with the relevant parties. A sale contact form sends the information you enter, including contact details and your message, to the seller. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information. Information may be shared with service providers as needed to operate the service and with authorities when permitted or required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Providers and processing outside Quebec
Services used include Stripe for payments, Vercel for the website, Neon for the database, AWS for files and email, Mapbox for maps and address suggestions, and Google for the relevant sign-in and audience measurement features. Depending on the services used, information may be processed outside Quebec, including outside Canada, and be subject to the laws of those locations. Transfers outside Quebec are subject to applicable risk assessment and contractual protection requirements.
7. Cookies and location
Essential cookies support sign-in, security and language. Google Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights activate only after your recorded permission. Your choice lasts 180 days and can be changed using the preferences button below. A random identifier links this browser to evidence of your choice: date, decision and the version of the notice shown, without an IP address or browser fingerprint in this record. Withdrawing permission stops new measurements but does not retroactively erase information already collected. Device location requires your browser permission. Address searches are sent to Mapbox to provide suggestions.
8. Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose, legal obligations and claims to be handled. Closing an account does not automatically erase all transaction or dispute records. You may ask about the retention criteria applying to your information. Information no longer needed must be destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the law. Measures include access controls, password hashing and encrypted connections. No measure guarantees absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to and correction of your information, withdraw consent and request deletion when legal conditions are met. You may also request computerized information collected from you in a structured, commonly used format, subject to legal exceptions. Send requests to info@kabatis.com. Proportionate identity verification may be needed. Access and correction requests governed by Quebec law must receive a response within 30 days of receipt.
10. Laws, complaints and updates
Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector applies to covered activities, together with federal PIPEDA where applicable. You may contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information (cai.gouv.qc.ca) or, for matters within its jurisdiction, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca). This policy does not exclude any legal remedy. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website or through another appropriate means; any newly required consent will be requested.
